Narrativa Shqiptare Ltd will hold the Albanian Career & Business Summit UK 2026 on Saturday 21st November at Waterlow Hall, South Hampstead High School, London. The event is designed to address practical challenges facing people seeking to advance their careers, pursue further education or develop a business in the UK.

Employment, education and business development will form the core of the summit’s programme. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore job prospects, connect with employers and discover routes into further education, scholarships and professional training.

Oxfordshire Connections

Although taking place in London, the summit welcomes participants from across Britain. For Albanians living in Oxfordshire, it offers an opportunity to meet employers, professionals and organisations beyond their local area, expand their networks and explore opportunities that could support their professional development. Oxford residents can travel to London by rail, with onward connections to the venue in South Hampstead.

Guest Speakers

The summit welcomes Mars El Brogy, a journalist and multimedia executive producer whose career spans the BBC, BBC Worldwide, The Evening Standard, The Independent and The Telegraph.

Her experience also includes involvement in TEDx and international recognition as Most Influential Muslim in Media 2022, alongside a place on the Outstanding Women in Media shortlist.

Isa Krasniqi, a tourism and entrepreneurship professional, will speak at the summit.

His contribution will explore tourism as a key sector for economic development and the role of the Albanian diaspora in strengthening business links between the United Kingdom, Albania and international markets.

Using Journalism to Create Opportunities

The summit was conceived by journalist Merjeme Tota, founder and director of Narrativa Shqiptare Ltd, working alongside journalist and co-organiser Beklie Koltraka.

For Tota, the summit’s purpose is to turn the strengths and potential of Albanians in Britain into real opportunities through meaningful connections, shared knowledge and practical support.

Throughout my career in journalism, I have seen how access to the right information, networks and opportunities can change lives. This summit is designed to bring the Albanian community together with the people, resources and expertise that can help them progress in employment, education, business and everyday life. We want people to leave with more than inspiration: we want them to have connections, knowledge and practical opportunities they can take forward, said Tota.

Building a Stronger Network

Beklie Koltraka, co-organiser of the summit, highlights its ambition to turn connections into opportunities.

Our aim is to bring people together, share knowledge and create connections that lead to real progress. Sometimes, the right introduction can open doors that might otherwise remain closed. By bringing together businesses, professionals, educational institutions and members of the Albanian community, we want to create an environment where collaboration can lead to lasting opportunities, said Koltraka.

Other names associated with the initiative include Ensuida Keputa, Daniel Nikolla, Njomza Krasniqi, Elona Latifi and Nazmi Kurti.

Donated Umrah Package

A further announcement comes from Sahra Umra 24, founded in 2020 by Nazmi Kurti, which has donated an Umrah package for one eligible summit attendee.

The package includes return flights from Albania to Saudi Arabia, visa arrangements, accommodation and local transfers, subject to the provider’s terms and eligibility requirements.

The donation adds a distinctive dimension to the summit, recognising the importance of community generosity and the different aspirations and values within the Albanian community.
